The NEW Bubble Bars now available at Lush Cosmetics

Features press samples - see disclaimer.

I don't know about you but when I need a pick me up, I turn to Lush Cosmetics - there's just something about a fancy bath product to put you in a better mood and give you an excuse for a long soak in the tub. I've been a firm fan of bubble bars from the beginning and have countless reviews on my blog so my ears certainly pricked up when I discovered there were several new ones being released.

Product Inventor and Co-founder Helen Ambrosen explains: "Creating solid bubble bars turned into an art form. You could make all sorts of shapes, all sorts of sizes, but also you didn’t need a synthetic preservative."

From big, bold scented bubbles to more subtle suds, naked bubble bars are the easiest way to indulge in a bubble bath. The choice is endless from deliciously candy-sweet bars to fresh and green, or dark and earthy, there really is one for everyone. Simply crumble the bar under running water, swish, and relax in lashings of trouble-free bubbles. Most bubble bars are perfect for a couple of blissful baths, so you don’t need to worry about using too much or too little or if you like to see them go that little bit further, do what I do and break them up then use a tea strainer under running water for the most luxurious bubbles you've ever encountered.

The new launch has seen quite the selection of new bubble bars and oh my gosh I want them all! I think the most notable one has to be The Big Comforter which is an absolutely huge take on a much-loved best-seller. The Big Comforter (£20.00) is laden full of delicious ingredients such as Cassis Absolute giving the familiar blackcurrant smell, Bergamot Oil which adds an uplifting feel and Cypress Oil which helps to soothe and detoxify.

It's one I've used time and time again over the years so for me, the larger size is so much more cost-effective. A standard size The Comforter bubble bar costs £5.95 and you could get four maybe five baths at a push out of it, The Big Comforter is easily five times the size of the original so in future, I'll be purchasing the big one.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Blue Skies & Fluffy White Clouds to get a size injection too!

The new range definitely feels more fun than previous releases thanks to the additions of Crayon, Abracadabra and Gold Finger. The Bubble Sticks are a take on the bubble bar plus they're super easy to use. You just place your bubble stick on the bottom of your tub and allow the water to run while the bath gets bubblier and bubblier! The bubble sticks last for 2-3 baths, so once you've had your soak, pop your bubble stick on a soap dish or similar until next time.

I used Crayon (£3.95) during the week and it's deliciously sweet and fruity thanks to being infused with Buchu Oil, Bergamot Oil and Grapefruit Oil - it's a complete treat for senses. Crayon would be great for kids too as once it has created a bath full of bubbles it can be used as a drawing tool on the side of the bath - it washes off really easily!

Abracadabra (£3.95) is a fun mix of Bergamot Oil & Olibanum Oil making it uplifting and beautifully sunny with a subtle earthy feel to it. The bubble stick performs just like Crayon and once you've conjured up enough bubbles just pop it to the side or cast spells - it's up to you.

Mermaid Tail (£5.95) was one I loved as soon as I saw it! I've only used half of it so far, it's good for two baths, and it creates the most luxuriously beautiful bubbles turning the water a gorgeous purple, blue mix much like the ocean. Containing Lemon Myrtle Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil and Cocoa Butter - it's super uplifting but be warned, the lemon scent is strong which overrides every other ingredient, personally, I don't mind it but I can see this being a real turn off for many.

The main bubble bar is fab but we can't forget the tail which is a bath oil melt that really does leave skin super smooth. Lush Bath Oil Melts do wonders for my skin but they're my rare treat because they're a pain to clean off the bath afterwards. The tail can easily be split in two, too!

The last bubble bar out of the wonderful delivery that arrived is Suga Rush - I should hand this over to Arran as he's the fizzy drink addict in this relationship ha! Suga Rush (£8.50) is a reusable bubble bar so you just hold the bottle under running water to create lots of bubbles before placing in a soap dish to dry out. With Lime Oil, Cinnamon Leaf Oil Olibanum Resinoid and Neroli Oil, it smells just like old fashioned cola - the mix of warm and spicy ingredients just work so perfectly. It's the perfect treat for the cola lover in your life.

You can shop the new collection of bubble bars on lush.com now but deliveries are taking longer than usual at the moment, understandably. If you can pick up one of the new bubble bars, lemme know which ones - I can't wait to order Lucky Cat, Sleepy and Peach Crumble.
