Bake at Home with Popsi's

(Features press sample - see disclaimer)

I've spoken before about how so many businesses have adapted in brilliant ways during the pandemic, one of which is Popsi's - a pizzeria in Southampton. They say they're the number one pizza place in Southampton and I've got to give it to them, their pizza is pretty darn good!

The secret is their homemade traditional matured dough containing no additives, chemicals or preservatives plus Popsi's imports the very best from Italy, their sweet Italian tomatoes come from Rega and the Fior De Latte Creamy Mozzarella from Naples.

They bring the Italian art of pizza making as honest great food to be shared with family and friends - they even have the best range of meat, veggie and vegan pizzas in town and now they've created Bake at Home Pizza Kits

The team at Popsi's dropped a Bake at Home box on our doorstep a few days ago and we spent the evening making delicious pizzas from fresh. Each kit comes with their 48hr Homemade Fermented Dough, fresh Fior Di Latte Mozzarella, homemade marinara sauce and freshly made basil extra virgin olive oil. You can then add extra toppings to the pizza or just stick with a classic Margherita which is what we did.

The pizzas are super easy to create and I found the videos available on Popsi's website really helpful for making sure the dough was perfect. The video shows Popsi's own David making the pizzas at home using just a pan and a griddle, I've never made pizza this way before so I was pretty sure I was totally going to mess it up but I am pleased to share that I didn't and the pizzas were bloody lovely.

There are three Bake at Home Kits available all with free delivery in the Southampton area:

Bake for 2 - £12.00
Bake for 3 - £17.00
Bake for 4 - £22.00

To order your pack just head to where you'll find the email address along with the information you'll need to provide.

It's a really great way to support a small local business if you're in Southampton and a great activity to do with children.

We can't wait to visit Popsi's again when this is all over!
