Skincare Workout with Mama Mio

One thing I was very aware of when falling pregnant was how much my body was going to be changing, it somehow had to stretch to accommodate a little human and I thought it needed a little help. I've been using a number of oils and creams throughout my pregnancy and have collected quite an impressive empties pile but one brand that just stuck in my heart was Mama Mio, with five products in particular being centre show.

Facial skincare is so important, so I can't understand why you wouldn't think the same for the rest of your body, especially during pregnancy. There are so many oils and creams on the market designed for pregnancy and once you've had the baby that it can be a bit of a minefield but once you find something that works for you, you'll know.

Mama Mio was created by four mamas who struggled to find high quality, efficient skincare during their pregnancies and so they created Mama Mio. It all began with Tummy Rub Butter which is my favourite out of the range and quickly became a globally renowned cult-pregnancy product. It's fast become a brand I trust, due to the pregnancy friendly ingredients and one I'll continue to use once Splodge is here as they have a post pregnancy range too. I thought I'd tell you a little bit about all the products I've been using so far:

The Tummy Rub Butter £23.50
My number one, I'm on to my third tub of this now as I just love it so much. The Tummy Rub Butter has a super-elasticising omega-packed blend of organic oils in an organic shea butter base which helps give skin elasticity and strength for when bump starts to expand. I apply morning and night to keep my bump soft and smooth and I've been using the limited edition pots with the ginger and lime scent which I find strangely relaxing. The consistency is light but still feels butter rich and it's non tacky meaning I can put my clothes straight on after applying. There's an oil version too which you can use alongside the butter if you want to.

Goodbye Stretch Marks £45.00
The most expensive of the bunch and one I've been holding tight for when the inevitable happens. Consistency is key when it comes to applying stretch mark creams otherwise you won't see any results. Goodbye Stretch Marks helps deliver the best possible results a cream can to those little skin tears we tend to collect when baby growing. It's safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as long as you avoid the nipples. I'm holding out for good things with this.

Pregnancy Boob Tube £29.50
It's not just about your belly, your boobs are going to change too so they also need something fabulous to help. Boob Tube helps moisturise, sooth and cool boobs and is rich in omega oils which help hydrate and elasticise the skin. I've always had smaller boobs so I've slathering this on like there's no tomorrow and so far it's working, the big test will be when my milk comes in! It's rich, soaks in easily and doesn't leave any tackiness, definitely my favourite bust cream so far.

Lucky Legs £19.50
Coping with pregnancy during the summer has been a real tester, I don't think I've ever been so hot but Lucky Legs has been such a welcome relief. It's designed to revive tired legs and swollen feet, and has fast become my best buddy. I keep mine in the fridge so when I really need it, I'm hit with a cool, refreshing relief in an instance. Plus, as I can't quite reach my legs or feet anymore, it's the perfect way to trick the mister into a foot massage!

Way To Glow £23.00
Another fab cooling product is Way To Glow which is a facial mist. I also keep this in the fridge for an instant cool down. The mist works by cooling, calming and comforting skin and has a beautifully uplifting scent. It gives hormonal skin a boost, helps nourish and brighten as well as being the perfect soother on a hot day. Way To Glow and a fan is a pregnant, hot women's best friend. I've even picked up an extra one to pack in my hospital bag. I've always been a fan of facial mists so I knew I was going to love this one.

Mama Mio is available online as well as in John Lewis and Space NK. It would make the perfect gift for any new mums to be and if you're stuck on what to buy just ask the experts! There is always someone available to advise on social media. PS. There is also a refer a mama programme! Happy shopping.
