A Day at the Farfetch Retreat

A couple of weeks ago, I caught a very early coach up to London for a day of fashion, food and pampering with Farfetch. There was a group of fifteen bloggers including myself and some fabulous girls representing Farfetch who met us at Victoria Station before we were transported to sunny Berkshire. Debs, Eleasha, Josie, Laura, Lolita and I found ourselves at the back of our coach to Berkshire in what we dubbed the penthouse thanks to its leather seats, table, surround sound and kitchen facilities. We arrived at the Farfetch Mansion to clear blue skies and sunshine. The house we had for the day was absolutely incredible; Big, spacious and the perfect Instagram background. After putting down our bags and grabbing our Farfetch slippers, we entered the cinema room to find out all there was to know about the #TheOne campaign by Farfetch. The campaign is all about finding your one accessory to see you through, some luxurious, something unique to you and available from the one stop shop, Farfetch, the ultimate place for all things luxury. After the presentation we tucked into a scrumptious breakfast of fresh pastries, fruit, cheese and cured meats plus lots of tea and coffee. We ate our breakfast out of in the garden under the sunshine and it was the perfect opportunity to get to know one another, our blogs and fill our stomachs before our photo shoots.

Victoria Metaxas and Kaye Ford were our photographers for the day and they spent the morning snapping the house, food and each of us opening our gifts from Farfetch. We were shooting with Victoria or Kaye and were each asked to choose an accessory from the Farfetch website to shoot with on the day. I loved being sat with everyone while opening our gifts as it meant we could see what each other had chosen. There were Saint Laurent belts, Miu Miu and Chloe sunglasses, beautiful Alexander McQueen and Valentino bags to lust over as well as the most exquisite pair of shoes I've ever seen, the Sophia Webster Bibi Butterflies which is what I chose.

We were placed into two groups to be photographed and I went off with Victoria first to take our shots. I absolutely loved shooting with Victoria, I get a bit panicky as I never know how to stand or what to do with my face but she completely put me at ease and I'm so in love with the photos she took of me. After each blogger had, had their photo shoots lunch was served. The food was incredible once again with sushi, mini wraps, cous cous and plates of chicken, pasta and dips put out for us to choose from and with the prosecco popped, we sat down to eat and learn even more about one another.

The afternoon was reserved for relaxing and pampering. Farfetch had a manicurist, hair stylist and a masseuse come in for the afternoon to truly pamper us while we finished off the last of the prosecco. It was also a chance to explore the house, its grounds and have a dip in the hot tub. The Farfetch cake was also brought out to wide eyed bloggers, it was almost too pretty to cut into and it made the perfect Instagram shot for most of us.

Four o'clock swung around too quickly and before we knew it, we were packing up our bags, saying our goodbyes and being given wonderful goody bags to take home with us along with our new accessories. I cannot thank the Farfetch team enough for such a fabulous day, it's not often I pluck up the courage to go to an event completely alone without knowing anyone but I have never felt more comfortable or more welcome. It really was a fabulous day and I cannot wait to share the photos Victoria took of me.
