Clarins Summer Collection 2019

One of my favourite times of the year is when the Clarins Summer Collection swings around, because it means I can get my hands on a new limited edition bronzer! Apart from Nars Laguna, the Clarins Bronzing Compacts are one of my most used products and each year they bring out something more beautiful than the last.

It's not just the bronzing compacts to get excited about because they also have three dazzling lip stains and a beautifulllll cobalt blue liner which will see you through lazy summer nights and some of the hottest festivals in town.

The Limited Edition Waterproof Eye Pencil (£18.00) in Blue Lily is a gorgeous cobalt blue shade which looks beautiful on sunkissed skin. The perfectly sharpened precision tip makes it super easy to apply, meaning no dragging on skin and the creamy texture delivers such a perfect application of colour you won't need to go back over it.

Just one stroke delivers effortless colour to completely brighten up any makeup look. Think tanned skin, a spattering of freckles and this beauty lined to perfection and you'll have your summer look nailed.

2018 saw the launch of Clarins much loved lip stains, a formula made up of 77% water paired with rich plant ingredients to create a buildable bold colour but with a barely there feel to lips. For Summer 2019, they've re-worked the formula to introduce three limited edition ultra sparkling shades to take you from beach to bar in just one swipe.

The Limited Edition Water Stains (£19.00) come in Sparkling Rose Water, Sparkling Red Water and Sparkling Violet Water. They smell incredible, quite fruity and utterly delicious so they're a real summer treat.

The handy brush applicator applies the product well and once dry, the shades stain to a subtle pink or orange. Sparkling Red Water is my favourite as it gives a subtle orange tone to lips that lasts all day. The only thing you need to be aware of is that they really do stain so taking them off is hard work. Just be sure to use a really creamy cleanser and a reusable cotton pad and you should be fine.

As I mentioned, my favourite products from each Clarins Summer collection are the Limited Edition Bronzing Compacts (£32.00) which I say about every year. For Summer 2019, there are two new shades in warm and sunny tones to help create a perfect golden glow. Each one comes with the Light Optimizing+ Complex which uses soft focus pigments and pearls to help smooth the complexion while giving your skins natural radiance a boost.

It's exactly what I need right now after a week of rain.

The large compacts come encased in a golden compact with the prettiest detailing, they really do smash their summer designs for me!

The first shade Sunset Glow, helps create a soft golden glow when using all three shades together although you could use each shade separately. The iridescent bronzer helps add warmth to skin while the highlight gives a beautiful luminosity to skin leaving the oh so pretty iridescent pink blush to give a pop of colour to cheeks.

Sunrise Glow helps warm your complexion thanks to its multi-toned bronzers, giving a radiant and natural finish. The matte bronzer is the perfect contour shade while the accompanying iridescent bronzers, one light and one dark help sculpt the face. You can use them together or separately to create your ideal sunkissed look, I personally like to do a big swirl with a bronzing brush and apply all the shades together. This one is my favourite of the two, it's just my perfect bronze shade and it gives such a natural warmth to my skin.

One of the things I love about the bronzing compacts is how big they are, they even have an extra large mirror inside which makes giving your skin a sweep of glow a breeze. The best bit other than the oh so gorgeous shades? The smell like summer, if I could bottle up the scent into a perfume I would!

The Clarins Summer Collection is available to buy now but be quick as it is limited edition and the bronzer compacts especially are always very popular. What would be your top pick from the collection?
