Shop Fragrance Direct for Mother's Day

Mother's Day has always been a special occasion for my sister and I, being given the chance to spoil our mum that little bit more than we already do and on a dedicated day is something we cherish and we always try and make a big thing of it every year. It's become even more important now I'm a mum myself so the celebrations have become even more special.

I love traditional gifts such as flowers and my favourite chocolates but you can't beat something extra special like a new fragrance or the ideal skincare gift set for a pamper. I've shopped with Fragrance Direct for years and so that is exactly where I turn to whenever I want to treat someone I love to an extra special something.

I'd been browsing Fragrance Direct for a few weeks when I came across some fragrances and skincare sets that would be a sure fire hit on Mother's Day as well as an extra pop of pink in lipstick form which is the ideal spring shade.

I find when looking for skincare for special occasions, brands such as Clarins and Decléor really hit the nail on the head in terms of actual product and the way they're presented. I was instantly drawn to the Clarins Body Care Gift Set (£28.35) because of the gorgeous floral toiletry bag the products are housed in. The set also comes inside a floral adorned box which makes wrapping easier too!

Inside the gift set you'll find a collection of skincare favourites such as the Moisture Rich Body Lotion 200ml which helps smooth, nourish and firm skin with the help of shea butter, the Hand & Nail Cream 30ml to help soften cuticles and protect hands and the Exfoliating Body Scrub 30ml which is a firm favourite of mine because it softens the skin without being too harsh.

As I mentioned before, another great brand to look at for skincare and for Mums especially is Decléor and Fragrance Direct have a whole host of products to choose from. I particularly like the Decléor Prolagene Discovery Kit Gift Set (£13.99) because it's a great introduction to the brand with a generous helping of product to get started with.

The set includes the 3 in 1 Cleansing Foam 50ml for super smooth clean skin, the Prolagene Lift & Firm Rich Day 5ml which works to firm and lift visible wrinkles as well as the Aromessence Lavandula Iris Firmness Oil Serum 15ml which is derived from natural ingredients and essential oils to smooth mature skin. Lastly is the Aroma Confort Moisturising Body Milk which I'm never without as it leaves my skin velvety soft and nourished!

I keep the supersize version in my bathroom at all times.

If you're looking to inject a little beauty, Fragrance Direct is THE place for all your favourites and it's one place I always look for for lipstick. They stock a huge variety of brands and shades so I added MAC Pink Nouveau (£15.45) to this edit as you just can't go wrong with a Spring pink for Mother's Day. The satin formula leaves a gorgeous pop of colour on lips perfect for leisurely lunches or Afternoon Tea.

My final top picks for Mother's Day at Fragrance Direct are two fragrances because I adore the gift of fragrance. For me, a smell can take you back to a special moment in an instance so fragrance is important to me for that reason. The two I've picked are very different, one is fresh, light and airy while the other is deep, sensual and timeless.

Daisy Love by Marc Jacobs (£32.95) is one of their newer fragrances but it's just as beautiful as the rest, just look at the bottle! Daisy Love is a sparkling twist of sweet cloudberries, delicate daisy tree petals with touches of musk and driftwood for a beautifully sweet scent. The over-sized daisy on top helps the fragrance stand out from the others and the fragrance itself is unique enough to separate it from it's best selling predecessors.

The second fragrance is Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez (£34.95) and is one of my all time favourite scents, I'd be very happy to open this on Mother's Day. Narciso fragrances are one of a kind and smell like no other, the first time I smelt a Narciso fragrance I fell in love with its mix of musky, floral and woody notes. It's not usually my type of fragrance at all but this just captures my heart with every spritz and the understated bottles are something I love too. This particular Narciso fragrance has notes of bulgarian rose, guardenia, musk, cedar and vetiver which helps give it its completely rare scent.

Shopping Fragrance Direct for Mother's Day this year has never been easier and with some helpful suggestions to lead you on your way and plenty of offers to take advantage of, it'll take you no time at all to pick out some favourites and maybe even a treat for you too.
