Birchbox I Got It From My Mama Limited Edition Box

The now sold out Birchbox Mother's Day box was released by the original beauty box creators last week. I managed to get my hands on one of the limited edition boxes as this was kindly sent to me, I shared a quick run down on stories but really wanted to show you want was inside a little more closely.

I can't unfortunately direct you to a link to buy because as I said it is now sold out but the box does showcase some great brands that you can find and buy at Birchbox. You can also subscribe to their monthly beauty box subscription service if you wanted a little treat.

I've been receiving my boxes for almost five years now and I adore them.

The very first product that stood out to me, and many others if the replies to my stories were anything to go by, was the VQ by Vitamasques Rose Quartz Facial Roller. I have wanted to try one for so long but have been so clueless with where to start that I just never bought one. The Rose Quartz Roller utilises ancient Chinese methods which combined with the healing properties of crystal, aid your skincare routine. It is said to help soothe skin, help puffiness and relieve dark circles.

I am just so intrigued by them and can't wait to see if it makes a difference.

The next product I pulled out the box was a lip crayon from Lord & Berry. I've used a few different bits from them over the years but never their lip products. This is in the shade Intimacy and is a universal dusky nude. It applies really well, feels super creamy and holds pretty well. I did find it smudged a little but I was eating and drinking so that probably made a difference.

The Sarah Chapman 3D Moisture Infusion sheet mask helps add instant hydration, plumpness and soothes redness. It's a super quick way to give your skin ten minutes to bounce back and as the mask sculpts perfectly to your face, there's no awkward nose or mouth placement to worry about. They're pricey but they do the job, leaving you with beautifully radiant skin.

Percy & Reed Wonder Balm is one of my all time favourite hair products so it's the perfect addition to the special box for Mother's Day. The innovative balm helps add moisture, boost shine, soften hair and helps protect against every day stresses. It smells bloody amazing too!

The Emma Hardie Protect and Prime is the ultimate multi-tasker so it's perfect for busy mums. The lightweight, non greasy formula provides eight hours of daily protection against UVA and UVB damage as well as priming, blurring and evening out your complexion. It's pretty incredible and I've loved it even after a few days use.

The next product is my all time favourite mascara, the Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara! I've been using this for around eight years now so since around the time it came out and it's just amazing. It separates every single lash, the formula is out of this world because its not too wet nor does it smudge or flake and it just does exactly what it says on the tube, plus the price is fab.

To add to the collection of skincare products within the box, there is the Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood facial oil which smells unbelievable. I'm a firm fan of facial oils and have been for a number of years so I can't wait to try this as I've read such brilliant reviews.

How beautiful is the bottle too?

We also have a hand balm from Rituals, I really love their shower gels but I haven't tried the hand balms before. This smells great too thanks to Indian Rose and Sweet Almond Oil which as we all know is a winner when it comes to keeping your hands soft and subtle.

The final two products are fragrances from Philosophy, I received another one of these in last months box so I have three of the fragrances now. In the Mother's Day box there is Amazing Grace which is a beautifully clean fragrance with a blend of bergamot, soft muguet blossoms and lasting musk. Pure Grace is quite fresh smelling with hints of water lily and simple tones of leafy greens. They're both 15ml so great for chucking in your bag if you want a top up during the day.

I really like the Birchbox Mother's Day edition, it has a great selection of products from some of my favourite brands and there's absolutely nothing in there that I won't use. I'd love to know if you managed to get your hands on the box? Let me know what you think.

The Birchbox Mother's Day Edition is a press sample - see disclaimer.
