L'Occitane's Essence of Summer with 4 NEW Verbena limited edition collections

(Features press samples & affiliate links - see disclaimer)

As Summer rolls around it means it is time to get ready for some tantalising limited edition collections from L'Occitane and they have pulled it out of the bag this year! One of my favourite collections from the French skincare brand is Verbena so I love it when they add a little twist to it.

If you're unfamiliar with Verbena, it is a citrus green and woody scent - beautifully soothing yet surprisingly energising. Historically, Verbena was found in the south of France but over time hotter countries like Morocco began cultivating it and it died out in Provence. It was L'Occitane's wish to replant and restore the verbena tradition in the region and so Philippe and Magalie Mary, their trusted partners, welcomed the idea and started to cultivate the lemon-scented plant in Jouques (Provence), in a natural green oasis, a sheltered land between the mountains and protected by the Natura 2000 European label.

This season, the brand has created four limited edition ranges of refreshing Verbena textures and scents to explore and so I'm going to show you Verbena Citrus.

Oh my, this is fabulous - I assumed this was a shower product at first but it is actually a super soft and moisturising gel for the skin.

The sorbet gel is bouncy in texture, incredibly fresh and quite literally melts into the skin. With the hotter weather the last few weeks I've found it dreamy to use and incredibly soothing on my skin. The citrus verbena scent is really quite special too, it is like sunshine in a tube and couldn't be more suited to summer if they tried.

My skin really does love it!

For an invigorating hit, L'Occitane recommend you put it in the fridge overnight.

Limited Edition Citrus Verbena Granita Body Scrub (£22.00)
There's nothing better than a deliciously scrubby scrub to massage into the skin when the weather has been warm and you've been in and out of the water and this one is fabulous.

The granita body scrub combines sugar crystals and ground walnut shells to really invigorate the skin while its oh so fabulous scent adds a touch of freshness. Skin is left feeling soft, silky and ready for the day.

For a more intense fresh effect, keep this refreshing sugar scrub in the fridge.

Citrus Verbena Swirl Hand Gel Cream (£8.00)
Is it even L'Occitane if there isn't a hand cream in the mix? They're my go-to for keeping my hands super soft, especially after months of using antibacterial gel and this little tube is perfect for my handbag.

The 2-in-1 hand cream unites the freshness of a gel to the hydration of cream making it deliciously melting on the skin. All of their hand creams are inspired by toothpaste tube technology so it has never been easier to keep hands smooth and hydrated.

As well as the citrus collection, you can also explore Mint, Verbena and Cactus!

Which one would be your pick?

  4. Oooh these sound lovely. Verbena is the only range I've tried from LOccitane. It's got such a definitive and recognisable scent. This new range sounds fab though, I'm particularly interested in the scrub! I'm definitely missing something like this from my routine.
