A Very Special Christmas

Christmas has always been such a special time of year for my family, my mum always made it so magical for my sister and I growing up so I've always done the same even when it was just Arran and I. This year, Joshua has made us a little pod of three and even though he doesn't know what his feet are, let alone Christmas I couldn't resist making it even more special.

I recently discovered Twenty Seven, an online shop specialising in unique personalised gifts. Each of their products are handmade by their team in Edinburgh and I spent so long browsing their products on Not On The Highstreet. I also roped in Arran to see what he also liked when it came to choosing gifts for Joshua. From Christmas jumpers and personalised baubles to beautiful wooden train sets and rabbit toys, there is something for everyone and I could've made such a huge order!

For the last six years Arran and I have bought a Christmas decoration from somewhere we've visited so that when we're old and grey, our tree will be full of our special decorations and memories so with it being Joshua's first Christmas we had to find the perfect decoration to carry on the tradition. Twenty Seven have so much choice but we eventually chose the Wooden Arctic Fox (£4.45) personalised with Joshua as it fits in perfectly with my Scandi Christmas theme. We also had the Reindeer Family Christmas Decoration (£9.95) personalised with The Spake Family Christmas.

With it being Joshua's first Christmas, we've kept to buying a couple of more sentimental presents rather than lots of bits and pieces. One of those gifts is this beautiful wooden train set (£27.95). The wooden and magnetic train set features six pieces, including an engine and five carriages and you can also get an eight piece train track. You can choose to have two of the carriages engraved with a name and date so it makes such a perfect keepsake. I can't wait to see Joshua play with his.

As well as lots of fabulous personalised gifts, I couldn't help but get my hands on a new Christmas jumper. For more years than I can remember and many more before I was born, Boxing Day has always been a day of more celebration for the Spake family filled with delicious food, tubs of Roses, old movies and most recently Christmas jumpers and Secret Santa. My parents host nowadays and we all wear our best Christmas jumpers. I'll be wearing this one from Twenty Seven which says Meet Me Under The Mistletoe and retails at £27. It's a sweater material, really good quality and I love how cosy it is. Perfect for this cold weather we've been hit with!

There is so much to choose from on Twenty Seven for this Christmas and even next if you're starting early. The quality of the products and customer service is incredible and I'm already planning what I'll be ordering for Joshua's first birthday from them. I'm such an eager beaver.

What do you think of my choices?
