Tis the season to be glittery and all that so if you love a bit of sparkle than you need Ciaté Glitter Flip in your arsenal. The lipsticks launched much to everyone's excitement as the first of their kind, glitter lipsticks that apply as a metallic matte before switching to a multi dimensional glitter finish at the smack of your lips, literally. Gimmick or not?
I had three shades land in my beauty loving paws and my first thought was gimmick, sure they sounded great but did they really do the business? Kind of. The lipsticks are priced at £17 with seven shades available to buy. I have Candy, a pretty pink, Iconic, a midnight blue and Fortune, a deep purple. The shades are absolutely beautiful but I don't think any of the shades are really that wearable. I'd probably only wear Candy as an every day kinda shade.
The lipsticks come in a tube with a doe foot applicator and each one applies and dries down as a matte liquid lipstick after a couple of minutes. The texture is slightly bitty due to the glitter but there isn't any stickiness so thumbs up for that, no one likes lipstick stickiness! The long wearing formula is comfortable on lips, even when transformed to the glitter look and it's pretty hard to budge so these would last for hours without retouching. They're also vegan friendly, paraben and gluten free.
To glitter flip your lip shade, just smack your lips together to turn it from matte to glitter in seconds. It's easy and fun to achieve and the result is really quite dazzling especially as the shades catch different lights. It's as if they're never quite the same at any one time. I think if there were a few more wearable shades maybe a nude, hot pink or a letterbox red I'd really love them but as there isn't anything I would wear myself, I feel they're wasted on me. The idea behind them is fab though and if you love something a little different and of course GLITTER, you will love these!
Have you tried any of the Glitter Flip shades? What did you think?

Haha definitely in my teens! xx
DeleteOooooo wow they are so pretty! I don't wear glitter on my lips really, but they would make amazing eyeshadows - I wish brands would make them eye safe too! :)

ReplyDeleteI remember you sharing the video when they first came out! xx
DeleteThe lightest shade is so pretty, they’d not be very wearable for me. I don’t really like products that feel bitty.

I think the light pink is really pretty too xx
DeleteLike you I don't think these are very wearable either & I'm not such a fan of bitty formulas!x
ReplyDeleteI agree :( Definitely would've worn in my teens I reckon xx
DeleteI really loved these Glitter Flips. I wrote a post and did a YT video on the shade I bought a couple of weeks ago, and I found it was really comfortable. The shade I bought is a berry shade, but they do do a red shade, both of which are a little more wearable than the ones you received. I'm still not sure how anyone can pull off blue lipstick! Great post :)
