First Impressions - Milani Cosmetics

Milani Cosmetics have been on my radar for more years than I'd like to admit but this is the first time I've ever tried the products. Why did I wait so long? I have no idea. Milani Cosmetics have been creating innovative cosmetics for over 25 years all around the world from their stunningly beautiful blush compacts to long wearing foundations. I've finally been trying some of their products and thought I'd share what I really thought of them.

Conceal + Perfect Foundation & Concealer £12.99
I love trying new foundations and this one did the job pretty well. It aims to help under eye circles, redness and other skin imperfections thanks to it being a full coverage foundation and part concealer. The pump bottle makes it less messy and hygienic and I found applying with a brush the easiest way to use this. It did a really good job of giving an almost flawless base but I did experience some oxidising. Other than that, my skin really did look relatively flawless and natural.

Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer £11.99
My number one concealer is by Collection so it would take a lot to steal its crown. The Retouch + Erase Light Lifting Concealer aims to eliminate dark circles and help reduce the appearance of blemishes and spots. It does work well but I found it gathered in lines and looked a little cakey after a few hours, I'll be sticking to Collection in the future. I also wasn't a fan of the cushioned applicator, it just seemed a bit too big for the areas I was using it for.

Rose Powder Blush in Bella Rosa £11.99
I have seen the Rose Powder Blush in so many Instagram posts and it's as gorgeous in real life as I expected. Bella Rose is a subtle rose shade which delivers a pretty pop of pink to the apples of cheeks. It doesn't streak and it gives a natural finish to skin. The only downside? Having to ruin that petal design to use it.

Baked Bronzer in Glow £10.99
When it comes to baked powders, MAC Cosmetics have always been my go to but Milani's offerings are just as good for a lot cheaper. Glow is a beautiful bronze shade with gold threading through it which gives a subtle golden glow to skin. A little goes a long way so you only need a light dusting of this to really encourage the light to hit your cheekbones. I wish there was a pinky shade available.

Amore Matte Lip Crème in Precious £9.99
The Amore Matte Lip Crème was made for me! The liquid to matte formula dries to a velvety finish full of colour. Precious is a dark rose shade that I love more than I thought I would. The applicator is double sided and cushion like so makes applying your new favourite lip shade super easy. Best bit? It's non sticky and lasts so you don't have to re-applying after drinks and something yummy to eat.

Color Statement Lipstick in Best Red £6.99
There is nothing better than a classic red and Best Red is a pretty fab contender. The formula is lightweight and creamy and gives instant colour after one stroke. You all know I'm a matte girl so I wasn't sure I'd like this but I was surprisingly impressed. Each Color Statement Lipstick contains Vitamins A, C, & E to help moisturise and nourish lips but that does affect wear time.
