On Friday, a number of bloggers from the South descended on Lush to be greeted with Sparkling Soda, Champagne, fresh fruit and the yummiest gluten free cupcakes. To start with, we were asked to get into pairs with a blogger we hadn't met before and find out more about them, their blog and their favourite Lush product while using different massage bars that had been handed out. We then introduced our new blogging friend to the rest of the group which was a really fun way to break the ice and relax everyone.
This event was focusing on skin care and fresh handmade cosmetics. We were shown how to make their legendary face masks, Catastrophic Cosmetic and Cupcake plus we all had a consultation with the Wheel of Emotional Brilliance. It's so refreshing talking to people that are passionate about their jobs and of course the products, and throughout the evening Rosie's fabulous staff were on hand to offer us advice on all our skincare needs and concerns.
After having a good sniff of all the bubble bars and eating a cupcake or two we were handed a very generous goody bag which included our own favourite Lush product which I thought was a really lovely touch. The evening finished with us all posing for a group photo outside, swapping blog details and chatting excitedly about what was in our goody bags.
I've included Lush Southampton's Twitter and Facebook links at the end of this post so make sure you give them a follow if you're in the area.
Ooh this looks like great fun, Southampton Lush is soon to be my local Lush again so I'll have to keep my eye out for any events. Glad you all had a great time, the personal touch was a really nice idea.
