With lockdown almost all but over (I'm not ready yet eek!) and restaurants reopening it has meant some of our favourites we've really missed the last few months have started back up again - one, in particular, is Lakaz Maman. There have been a few evenings where we've sat there and said we really fancied one thing or another off the menu so you can imagine our excitement when it was announced they'd be re-opening for takeaway with a new addition and some menu favourites.
The Graze Box is what piqued our interest first - the minute I saw it I set an alarm on my phone to remind me to order one ready for our Saturday evening date night and we were not disappointed.
There are two Graze Boxes available including a vegan version - the only difference between them is the wrap filling and the dessert option but I'll share both selections below. The boxes cost £29.95 and feeds four but I won't lie - Arran and I totally ate a box to ourselves throughout the evening while watching Hamilton.
You'll need to telephone to order and give 24 hours notice - it's super easy to do then you just pop in and collect.

The Graze Box was everything we wanted and more - bursting full of colour, flavour and absolutely delicious. The Pineapple, Tamarind & Chilli is a Mauritian street food classic and one of my favourite starters on the menu - it's such a unique mix of flavours.
We've never tried any of the wraps before and usually order House Cari or Magic Bowls so it was nice to try something a little different. The Chicken & Mango wraps were stuffed to the brim with chicken, rice and spice much like a burrito - I'd definitely opt for one of these when dining in the restaurant in-future maybe with the King Prawns.
We couldn't fault the box, the majority of what was included within the box were items we've tried previously and love which was why for us, the box was so perfect.
I do need to give a special mention to the Salted Caramel Chocolate Pots because OH MY they were incredible. The best bit? There were four so we had one each for the next day too! The Turkish Delight was pretty special too.
The Graze Boxes make such a great addition to any day out, picnic or even date night at home like us. There's also the option to enjoy Lakaz Maman at Home with their set menus with dishes such as Mauritian Butterbean Island Style Cari, Mango Chilli Chicken Wings and Lakaz Maman Fries with Spicy Salt.
It's such a great way to support a fabulous local business, eat delicious food and spend some time with family or friends.

You won't be disappointed!

ReplyDeleteThe chicken and mango wraps sound delicious and even though they're a box for four I'm honestly convinced me and friend could do it between the two of us as well! I love the box comes in a vegan version as well
