The December Birchbox

Twinkle into the festive season this December with the sparkly new December Birchbox! I've always been a fan of a beauty box or two but Birchbox have been the one box I get every month without fail and have done for the last four years. It's a nice little treat at the beginning of the month full of new beauty pieces to try and this month's even had a helping of Hotel Chocolat and a yummy discount code for something sweet.

The box this month is beautiful, a dark blue glitter adorned with gold stars, much like the night sky and perfectly festive for the time of year.

The theme for this month's box is Twinkle All The Way and thanks to the box being full of fabulous beauty treats, you'll be doing just that!

First up is the Percy & Reed Totally TLC Hydrating Mask which is exactly what my mane needs after allllll the post partum hair loss I've been suffering with lately. I'm a big fan of P&R and my beauty cupboards are full of their products so this is a welcome addition. The comb that comes in this months box would help work this through damp hair really well although I think it's going to end up being a beard comb for someone else...

Keeping with the theme of masks, there is also the Oh K! Bubble sheet mask. I haven't tried a bubble mask before so this is being saved for a Sunday pamper sesh!

For skincare, inside you'll find the Balance Me Flash Cleanse Micellar Water in a handy travel bottle. The formula helps remove makeup without damaging the skin and thanks to a blend of peptides, chamomile, neroli and mandarin it helps with ageing and cell regeneration too. I used it for the first time last night and it felt lovely and refreshing on the skin.

The full size bottle which is 180ml is available on the Birchbox website for £16.00 so I'm going to see how I go the next few days and decide if I'm going to snap it up, it's looking hopeful though.

The makeup bits in the box this month are fab mainly because my favourite primer ever was inside. The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer is my all time favourite and as I'm nearing the end of another full size tube, it means this sample will see me through a little longer.

If you haven't tried it yet you should.

The final product is a liquid lipstick by Laritzy Cosmetics, a brand I haven't come across before but my god do these last! I have the shade Tidel, a rose based pink which suits my pale complexion rather well. There are only two shades available but I'd love to see more from them.

The December Birchbox is available now and if you subscribe this month, you get a free mini Benefit Cosmetics  Roller Lash when using the code Roller on their website. What are you waiting for?
