Not too long ago, highlighter wasn't in my most used makeup items. It's only been recent years that I've really made the most of that sun catching glow and I can assure you, I've made up for it. I have a whole drawer dedicated to my highlighter loving needs nowadays, just call me a magpie. The latest glowing lovely on my radar is the Shimmer Squad palette by Lottie London and if you like a bargain, you'll love this...
I find Lottie London a bit like Marmite, some of their products are really worth trying out such as their eyeliners and nail varnishes but there are some misses too, thankfully this isn't one of them. The Shimmer Squad features four super blendable shades to suit all your shimmering needs.
Retailing at £9.95, the Shimmer Squad Holographic Haul Palette is square in shape with cupboard packaging and four good sized, highlighters. Holographic Haul is quite a cool toned palette, inspired by mermaids and the sea. I just swirl a brush into my chosen shade, at the moment it's The BFF and I apply to cheekbones, brow bone and a little down the centre of my face. It's not too over the top, it blends onto foundation beautifully, lasting all day.
The Rebel - silver shimmer
The BFF - pink shimmer
The Gossip - white champagne shimmer
The Thrill Seeker - lilac shimmer
The iridescent shades take your make up to the next level, I've loved using this during the winter months as my casper skin doesn't work as well with my warmer favourites such as MAC Cosmetics Soft & Gentle. The Holographic Haul palette has been likened to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit which is £39, I don't own the ABH palette but if it's saving me £29.05, I think I'll stick with this little beauty as it has fast become my go to.
There is a warmer toned version available with beautiful bronze and pink shades which I think I might treat myself to in the spring, a girl can never have enough highlighters. Have you used Lottie London before? What did you think?
Features press sample - see disclaimer.
That's a bargain! I think the warmer toned one would be more up my street so I'll have to check it out! xx
