Lottie London Shimmer Squad Holographic Haul

Not too long ago, highlighter wasn't in my most used makeup items. It's only been recent years that I've really made the most of that sun catching glow and I can assure you, I've made up for it. I have a whole drawer dedicated to my highlighter loving needs nowadays, just call me a magpie. The latest glowing lovely on my radar is the Shimmer Squad palette by Lottie London and if you like a bargain, you'll love this...

Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lips

Trying to find my style again when it comes to make up since having Joshua has been more difficult than I realised and who knew some mums can be so judging because you've put a bit of slap on? It's a ball this parenting lark, I'll tell ya! So in the spirit of bold lips and not giving a F, I present to you some matte lip shades that really are worth your time, even at £16 each.

Winter is really dragging a bit now isn't it? I'm so over dark mornings, ice and the temperature being below freezing. I need sunshine, promises of summer getaways and a festival or two. With Summer edging that little bit closer, Bodyform, legendary protectors of our lady bits, have the ideal campaign and all you need to do is pick up a pack of sanitary towels to be in with a chance of winning.

Baby Spake is Four Months Old

My little squidge is four months old. I can hardly believe I'm typing those words let alone that he's laid on the floor next to me grabbing at his feet and screeching like a banshee. It has been the most incredible and emotional experience, I still can't believe he's all mine, well and Arran's but mostly mine, shh we won't tell him. Joshua is a little dreamboat, he is the most inquisitive, loveliest little person and I just can't get enough of him.

Four Blogging Mums You'll Adore

Becoming a mum is the most incredibly rewarding thing I've done yet but it's also the hardest, nothing quite prepares you but there are people along the way that make it that bit easier. When we discovered I was pregnant, I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't fall down the Mumsnet forum hole. I stuck with reading books by Giovanna Fletcher and The Unmumsy Mum, I wanted real, funny and straight talking mums to look to and keep me sane when I needed it most.

Brunching at Vospers Southampton

My weekends are spent brunching in various locations around Southampton and I am more than happy with this so when a new location pops up with a banging brunch menu, I need to try it. Southampton Bloggers hosted another wonderful brunch this month, this time at Vospers Woolston where the plan included lots of blog chat over coffees, pancakes and a few mimosas. What a way to start the weekend!

Blown Blow Dry Bar Southampton

If I had unlimited funds, one thing I would treat myself to weekly is a blow dry. It would mean having bouncy, swishy hair all the time plus I wouldn't have to wash it myself which is my most hated chore when it comes to my beauty routine. Blow dry bars have been making a name for themselves in recent years and Southampton finally has one of their very own, Blown

(Photos provided by Blown)

Blown was founded by hair stylist and Southampton resident Molly White after Molly visited the booming blow dry bars in London and Essex. Inspired by the professionalism, efficiency and pure indulgence she saw at these locations she knew there was a clear gap in the market for the same luxury service to be made available for the busy women in Southampton.

Opening in Southampton in late 2017, Blown is the first luxury destination of its kind to grace the SO postcode. The boutique offers fast beauty and speedy blow dries to fit in with everyones busy lifestyles. A handful of us headed down to try it out for ourselves. Stepping in, we were met with the friendliest welcome and huge smiles, we were in for a fabulous evening.

Prosecco was handed around pretty promptly which is exactly what I like and after a few introductions, much hugging and air kissing we were ready to indulge. We had the beauty boutique to ourselves for the evening so half of us had our nails done, while the other half tried big, bouncy blow dries. We even had a makeup artist there for the evening to try out the latest beauty trends.

The luxury blow dry service offers a tailored menu to suit each customer, you have The Triple B which is the big, bouncy blow dry, Wavy Baby, soft beach waves and The Sleek & Fleek, a smooth and straight blow dry. The service is started with hair washing using Affinage Professional hair care followed by the blow dry of dreams. I went for The Triple B and felt like a princess. As well as bouncy blow dries, Blown also offer a nails and lashes service, you can discover more about what's on offer via their Facebook page, Blown - Blow Dry & Beauty Bar.

I love that Southampton finally has a blow dry bar, it is something that is so different to your usual salon where you can sometimes be rushed in and out. Blown offers the full package and one hell of an experience to boot! It is something I would book again in a flash before a night out.

You can book via email on bookings@blownblowdrybar.co.uk and make sure you visit their Instagram page - Blown Southampton.

Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick in Hawkwind

When it comes to liquid lipsticks, my all time favourites are by Kat Von D. I shared my liquid lipstick collection last year and because I'd been too busy growing a small human and buying baby clothes, my liquid lip addiction was put on the back burner so I had no new shades to share until now.

Why Our Three Month Old has Soya Milk

The week I shared My Breastfeeding Journey was the same week everything came to head with Joshua's milk problems and suspected allergy. I think part of me wonders whether we would be having the problems we have had if I'd been breastfeeding but we'll never know that. Quick disclaimer, we are FULLY aware soya milk is not recommended for babies under six months old due to studies into reproduction and the phytoestrogens which is naturally found in the soya plant. We have done a lot of research into this before making our decision with the support of our health visitor. Also note, all babies are different and if you think your baby may have an allergy speak to a GP or health visitor.

Luxury destinations fit for a new family

*This is a sponsored post* Photo source

There are so many amazing countries to visit throughout the world, Arran and I have had a bucket list of places to see for some time but now we have a little one in tow we've had to change how we're travelling and where to. Gone are the days of wanting to rave in Ibiza, we're looking for relaxing getaways, private villas and plenty of sunshine.
