With COVID and Lockdown taking centre stage this year, my bucket list posts have been put on the back burner but after much deliberation, I decided to share our Christmas one because there is still so much we can do despite how life is at the moment - it'll just feature more home-based activities than usual.
I like to keep my bucket lists filled with things that are easily accomplished be it big or small. They also give me the push to do a little more when all I want to do is hide from the cold with a blanket.
So here are a list of things I'm hoping to do with family this Christmas, I'd love to know what you have planned too.
- Drink hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows
- Bake Christmas treats like cookies, mince pies or a Christmas cake
- Write a letter to Father Christmas
- Read Christmas stories
- Buy Christmas candles
- Wear matching Christmas pyjamas
- Make a gingerbread house or make gingerbread stars
- Create a Christmas playlist and dance around the kitchen
- Watch as many Christmas films as possible
- Decorate the house together
- Go for a walk to look at neighbours Christmas lights
- Wear a Santa hat
- Make handprint ornaments
- Spend the afternoon doing Christmas crafts
- Have a family games night with Christmas Monopoly
- Spend the evening writing cards and wrapping presents
- Go for a crisp winter walk
- Buy our 2020 Christmas ornament
- Make reindeer food for Rudolph
- Cut out snowflakes and decorate the windows
- Make s'mores (dairy-free!)
- Create our own Winter wreath
- Make cinnamon playdough to play with
- Leave mine pies and milk out for Father Christmas
- Take lots of photos for a Christmas photo book
What are you looking forward to this Christmas?
This is a cute list. I really want some Christmas candles and suspect I’ll end up at M&S as their range sounds fantastic x

ReplyDeleteSuch a great list and all covid friendly too! I’m so sad that I won’t be able to visit a Christmas market this year. It certainly will feel different this Christmas but it’s important to do what we can to keep the Christmas spirit alive! x
ReplyDeleteAhh this is a lovely list! It's definitely going to be a different Christmas to usual but I'm sure we'll all make the most of it the best way we can. I'm looking forward to lots of Winter walks and getting snuggly at home with a hot chocolate! xx

There are so many lovely festive things on your list. I think 2020 has definitely taught us to enjoy the small things more and also enjoy time spent with family.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the fact that we can stay home this year, as we've spent 7 out of the last 9 Christmases with my In-Laws. I wish I had my own little family to create traditions - it's a tough time of year when you want kids, but don't have them x
