Giftwrapping with the Wrapper Snapper

Ever since working in Clinton Cards when I was younger, I've had a love of wrapping presents. I'd buy matching wrap, bows, ribbon, you name it, I bought it. I was a gift wrapping shops perfect customer. Since leaving my card job, I've still enjoyed every moment of giving the gift of perfectly wrapped presents so getting to meet The Wrapper Snapper was ideal for me. West Quay is my go to for all my shopping as they have so much under one roof so after picking something up for me, for him and the home, I was excited to get wrapping.

Frank PR whisked me up to London for a special brunch with Jo from The Wrapper Snapper to teach me how to wrap my presents I'd already purchased in West Quay, Southampton, the week before. After being handed a much needed coffee and some delicious pastries, we started talking everything gift wrapping with Jo.

I'd already been peeking on her website before the event and knew what to expect so I couldn't wait to see her in action. The ideas she has are so unique and ones I wouldn't think of trying myself. Jo started by showing us how to wrap bottles of champagne by pinching tissue paper and cellophane together to bring to the neck of the bottle before fixing with some beautiful bows Jo had brought with her. We were each gifted a perfectly wrapped bottle to take home with us too.

After being shown how to wrap the bottles, it was time to wrap our own presents. For a beautiful, Neom gift set brought in by Em, Jo wrapped it with a pleated detail before adding gold ribbon and a stunning gold leaf decoration. It was the show of the morning. My own Jo Malone gift set was wrapped in ice white paper with a shiny silver bow and an icicle decoration making it fit for any Snow Queen.

We were also shown how to wrap Lily's little Kiehl's cream, using the same technique as the champagne bottles, Jo pinched tissue paper and cellophane to create the perfect addition to any Christmas tree with a teeny, tiny bow to match.

After much watching and learning we were each able to put our new found skills to the test. Also, now that my family know where I spent my Saturday, they'll be expecting the most beautifully wrapped presents they ever did see. I'm not sure I can rival Jo's expertise just yet though.
