Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour

When it comes to lip colour, it's the bolder the better for me so why it has taken until now to get my hands on the Revlon Ultra HD Matte lip shades, I don't know. I'm kinda disappointed in myself. I've been giving them a whirl the last couple of months after getting my hands on a gorgeous berry shade and two metallic lovelies and I have to say, I'm hooked.

I've been a fan of Revlon lip products since I fell hard for their Colorburst Balm in Audacious. They always have an impressive shade range and you get change from a tenner so you can understand why I'm surprised at myself for waiting this long to try their much loved Ultra HD Matte Lip Colors. I'm putting it down to being a slave to Kat Von D's liquid lipsticks because for me, they're the best around.

Revlon's cheaper alternative is stiff competition though, thanks to the lightweight, velvety matte finish and range of shades, plus I'm a big fan of the packaging. The lip colours are the perfect size for popping in your bag on the go and because you can see the shade, you're never left digging around. They're slim, simple and not too fussy, sometimes less really is more.

Matte finishes are my vice so I know a good formula when I try one and Revlon's offering is definitely up there with some of the best. After a quick lip scrub and a couple of applications of this, lips are left with a gorgeous colour with no gathering or clinging. Application is simple as using the cushioned doe foot applicator means you're just left with a beautifully, smooth lip shade thanks to the wax free, moisturising formula. Wear time is six hours although I do find the shade wears in the middle of my lips much quicker after eating and drinking. I'm not too fussed on having to re-apply though, especially as it takes seconds with these.

I've been using the dark berry shade in Infatuation through the winter months, it's bold and gorgeous! I also have two of the metallic lip shades in HD Gleam and HD Shine. Both are beautiful pink shades, one more rosy than the other. Gleam, the pinker of the two is my favourite as it's perfect for day to day wear when you want something a little more than a basic nude.

I'm totally a fan of Revlon's much loved liquid lips and I'm hoping there's a reddy orange available because that's my statement shade! What are you favourite Revlon lip products?
