Award-winning skincare for your baby from Weleda

(Features press samples & affiliate links - see disclaimer)

Deciding on what baby skincare products to use can be a bit of a minefield especially if once baby is here, their skin is super sensitive and reacts easily. We've used a few different brands over the years with our son and tend to stick to Mustela, Aveeno and Weleda for him now he's older so going back to Weleda Baby made sense for our newest addition to the family.

The 100% certified natural baby ranges have been comprehensively designed to work with all types of babies' skin from normal through to hypersensitive. Each product has been researched by their team of midwives and pharmacists to help support the development of healthy skin - especially as Babies' skin is five times thinner than adult skin and frequently changes according to the environment, developmental stage and health.

L'Occitane's Essence of Summer with 4 NEW Verbena limited edition collections

(Features press samples & affiliate links - see disclaimer)

As Summer rolls around it means it is time to get ready for some tantalising limited edition collections from L'Occitane and they have pulled it out of the bag this year! One of my favourite collections from the French skincare brand is Verbena so I love it when they add a little twist to it.

If you're unfamiliar with Verbena, it is a citrus green and woody scent - beautifully soothing yet surprisingly energising. Historically, Verbena was found in the south of France but over time hotter countries like Morocco began cultivating it and it died out in Provence. It was L'Occitane's wish to replant and restore the verbena tradition in the region and so Philippe and Magalie Mary, their trusted partners, welcomed the idea and started to cultivate the lemon-scented plant in Jouques (Provence), in a natural green oasis, a sheltered land between the mountains and protected by the Natura 2000 European label.

This season, the brand has created four limited edition ranges of refreshing Verbena textures and scents to explore and so I'm going to show you Verbena Citrus.

Three facial sunscreens worth your time

(Features press samples & affiliate links - see disclaimer)

Finding the most suitable facial sunscreen has taken me years and boy have most of the products available now come on in leaps and bounds! Even just a few years ago I found facial sunscreens heavy, gloopy and oily making them terrible to wear under makeup but with brands such as SOS Serum, Institut Esthederm, Bioderma and YSL leading the way with lighter yet effective sunscreens I don't have that problem as much any more.

I spoke about SOS Serum SPF 50 earlier in the week but for this post, I wanted to focus on three other sunscreens I have on rotation. I use each of them as much as the next depending on my mood, the foundation I'm wearing that day or if I'm makeup free.

Five Skincare products I can't stop reaching for

(Features press samples & affiliate links - see disclaimer)

In the last year, skincare has quickly become the thing I've been most excited about. I think with lockdown meaning we were at home so much I had the time to really nail my skincare routine and test the products that would land in my hands. I've had to switch it up, even more, this year due to my current pregnancy but it has meant I've had time to put together this post and show you some of my faves, the products that I wouldn't be without right now.

So.... Here are five skincare products I can't stop reaching for...

Five Happy Things // June Edition

It feels weird to still be in this strange Lockdown limbo again - a little part of me did think it may all be over by December and how wrong was I? Now we're tentatively making our way towards indoor dining, soft plays, and seeing more people I'm feeling a little overwhelmed while also trying not to get my hopes up just in case it all goes wrong again. The ups and downs of lockdown eh?

One thing I think we can all agree on is that the last year has taught us a lot. For us, it was to value the small things, make memories where we can, and make the most of family and friends. Happy moments don't have to be a huge, momentous thing, they can be just about anything - be it a chocolate bar you treated yourself to or a long walk listening to an audiobook.

I've really been trying to do this myself recently and so in the spirit of just that I'm sharing five happy things that brightened our spirits in June.

God's House Tower is re-opening 9th July & this is why you must visit!

It felt as though as soon as God's House Tower opened for the first time in September 2019, it was closed again due to the pandemic but here we are, all those months later and it is about to re-open to the public on 9th July!

Southampton is awash with history and one thing I always say when walking around our beautiful city is to always look up because there is always something to discover and this wonderful place is no different. God's House Tower is an art and heritage venue in Southampton set within a 13th-century gatehouse, found on Winkle Street as part of the Old Town. It's somewhere I've walked around many times as it's such a beautiful part of the city and there's just so much to discover.

Easy ways to get your kids to eat more fruit & veg with the Ninja 2-in-1 Blender

(Paid partnership with Very UK - see disclaimer)

There's a lot of talk around children and food, even before you have that little one in your arms - there's the question of how you'll feed them once they arrive then before you know it, it's time to wean and that is when it gets really fun. We had a relatively easy weaning journey and that has continued but I always love to find new and inventive ways to make sure our son is getting enough fruit and veg in his system.

Be it with snack plates, funny ice cube trays, soups and our favourite, smoothies.

We love a versatile kitchen appliance and the Ninja 2-in-1 Blender available from Very UK is a dream to use.
