As soon as you've got used to all that luscious hair during your pregnancy, it starts to fall out in clumps and I mean CLUMPS! I suffered the worst post-partum hair loss with our son so I am more than prepared to have the same thing happen again this time. Thankfully I'm already prepared with the products I used after my first experience of it so it was about time I let you in on a little secret on how I tackled post-partum hair loss.

Aveda as a brand has been a go-to of mine for years, from their haircare and skincare to their makeup - it has been rare that I've found any product misses so it was inevitable that it would be Aveda to come to the rescue of my hair woes.

The Aveda Invati Advanced™ is an innovative system that reduces hair loss due to breakage and instantly thickens the look of hair when applied once daily. Inspired by Ayurveda - the ancient Indian art of renewal, this 94% naturally derived system, featuring an invigorating blend of Ayurvedic herbs, helps keep the hair you have longer. Their patented bio-fermented blend plus their Ayurvedic herb blend with ginseng and certified organic turmeric invigorates the scalp when massaged in, while certified organic amla instantly thickens the look of hair.

The product range has expanded slightly since I first started using it with the addition of a lighter shampoo and hair masque.

For me, I've been using the invati advanced™ exfoliating shampoo, invati advanced™ thickening conditioner and the invati advanced™ scalp revitalize - it's such a great trio of products and they've made such a difference to my hair.

The invati advanced™ exfoliating shampoo (£27.00) is a super nourishing shampoo that gently exfoliates and renews the scalp while delivering a soft, smooth and nourished after-feel. The basis of the product is to create an optimal foundation for thicker, fuller-looking hair.

The 94% naturally derived nourishing shampoo gently exfoliates and renews the scalp while delivering a soft, smooth and nourished afterfeel while Wintergreen-derived salicylic acid helps remove build-up that can clog pores. It has a really earthy smell which I particularly love and as it smooths through hair, it lathers and washes out well.

To follow up, the invati advanced™ thickening conditioner (£29.50) helps to instantly thicken and delivers weightless conditioning to help protect the hair from breakage. The naturally derived amino acids mimic the hair's building blocks to help it feel stronger from roots to ends.

The final product I use from the range is the invati advanced™ scalp revitalize (£50.00) which is a daily lotion you can apply directly to the scalp. The invigorating formula features Aveda's innovative blend of tangerine peel and Japanese knotweed penetrates to help support hair's natural keratin.

Certified organic amla instantly thickens to help lift hair at the root while their patented bio-fermented blend plus the Ayurvedic herb blend with ginseng and certified organic turmeric invigorates the scalp when massaged in. I was worried about using this daily and my roots looking greasy but thankfully haven't found that to be the case especially as I used it at night.

It's a brilliant product BUT it is pricey and as you need to use this once daily, you run out of it much more quickly than the rest. Personally together, invati id the perfect hair set and I instantly saw a difference when I started using the range - I always get asked how I keep my hair so full and thick and this is how!

Aveda is available in selected stores and online aveda.co.uk - there's a range for every hair compliant!
