A Box of Sunshine by L'Occitane

(Features press samples - see disclaimer)

On a relatively grey day in January, L'Occitane brightened my spirits when A Box of Sunshine landed on my doorstep. For 2021, the PANTONE Colours of the Year for 2021 are PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating, two colours that best express the current times - a dependable grey and a vibrant yellow. They say the two colours are a union of strength and positivity, a story of colour that encapsulates deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the promise of something sunny and friendly - something we need right now.

We need to feel that everything is going to get brighter, something essential to the human spirit.

So how does L'Occitane come into this? Well... PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is very similar to L'Occitane's burst of yellow and what better way to celebrate than with some of their most loved yellow products.

I think most notably is the Immortelle Divine Cream (50ml £79.99) - something I tried for the first time last year as the range had a refresh, you can read more in this post, The NEW Immortelle Divine Collection by L'Occitane. The Divine Cream is the perfect nourishing addition to your skincare routine in the colder months as it just quenches the skins need for something rich to soothe the skin. There is also a serum, oil and eye cream within the range - the oil is my favourite!

Next up is the Almond Shower Oil (250ml £19.50), part of their much-loved Almond range. The shower oil is one of my favourite luxury products when my skin is feeling dry as it is enriched with almond oil to gently cleanse and soften skin. The oil turns to milk once in contact with water so it envelopes the skin leaving super soft skin and with a dewy sheen.

The Petit Remedy (15g £10.00) is a new product for me - a beauty hero to the masses, I can't wait to try it. The multi-care balm takes care of anything from dry and irritated skin to a little top-up for luscious lips. The balm is made from 100% naturally derived ingredients to help nourish, soothe and protect the skin plus you can use it just about anywhere so hands, hair, face and body stay in tip-top condition.

Lastly, is something uplifting to fragrance the room in the form of their oh so fabulous candles. I'm a HUGE fan of L'Occitane candles - they burn beautifully and the scent lasts for hours and this one is perfect for starting the week on a brighter note. The Uplifting Candle (140g £20.00) is infused with essential oils of immortelle, basil, cypress, eucalyptus and litsea cubeba which come together creating something perfectly aromatic. If you love candles and fancy something a little different, L'Occitane has a gorgeous range to choose from.

A box of sunshine has never looked so good!
