Our Favourite Toddler Skincare Brands

Finding the right skincare for your baby is so important and with Arran and I suffering with sensitive skin as children, I was very aware of what we would use on Joshua's skin from the get go. Most babies skincare is formulated for even the most sensitive skin and supermarkets brands have some great options but we personally wanted to stick with brands we knew we would love and trust the most.

I spent a lot of time researching different lotions and potions while I was pregnant and had all the time in the world, now we're eighteen months down the road I feel we have a good enough opinion on each of our favourite brands to tell you why we love them.

So in no particular order, here are our five favourite baby and toddler skincare brands.

Mustela have been experts in mum and baby skincare since the 1950's and their wide range of specially formulated skincare sold me in an instant. I adore the Mustela range because it is what we used when Joshua first started having baths so the scent instantly takes me back. Multi Sensory Bubble Bath is our favourite product closely followed by Foam Shampoo for Newborns. Both products are tested under dermatological and pediatric control as well as being hypoallergenic and paraben free. Both products contain avocado perseose, a natural ingredient that protects the skin barrier and moisturises. I cannot fault the products at all and we'll be ordering their suncare for this summer too!

I've worked with Sebamed for a number of years and when we had Joshua they sent a beautiful balloon bouquet and a hamper full of their much loved baby products. We've been using most products from the Baby Range Bundle over the last eighteen months so have really come to know the range well. The bundle includes the body lotion, bubble bath, wash, cleansing bar, nappy rash cream and a baby cream so it would make a fab baby shower or new baby gift. The baby range is 100% soap and alkali free and has been created with the same pH5.5 value of healthy skin. They smell powdery sweet and super soft against baby's skin. We love the bubble bath, shampoo and cleansing bar.

A relatively new brand to us, we've only been using Child's Farm for the last six months after Joshua developed a sore nappy rash and we were recommended their nappy cream. The nappy rash cleared up in no time at all, the cream really is incredible and I quickly went and stocked up on more so we always had a tube to hand. I've since bought their hair wash and bubble bath in the bigger pump bottles and love that they come in such an array of fruity scents. We also use the Unfragranced Moisturiser for when Joshua gets the occasional dry patch. I definitely think we'll be using more from them as Joshua gets older.

I adore Pai for my own skincare so when we were gifted a beautiful set upon Joshua's birth I couldn't wait to find out more about it. All the products are free from petrochemicals, free from artificial fragrance and free from drying agents. The products are suitable from three months and include a body wash, body cream and a konjac sponge. They're just really lovely products to use to keep babies skin soft and subtle. There's also a gift set that would make a fab gift for new parents.

Jurlique is another brand I love and use for my own skincare so I just had to explore their baby range. The main product we used from the range was the Baby's Calming Massage Oil. I used to take Joshua to baby massage classes and always used this during the classes so when they finished I kept this up at home and continued to use it, it was great for massaging away wind! The Baby's Moisturising Cream is also a fab product. It's non-greasy and the plant based formula is great on his delicate skin. It has a beautiful botanical scent that makes me want to squish and sniff him all the time. I always keep this close for after bath times.

Is there skincare brands you love to use on your children?
