Pregnancy goes fast but watching your little one grow up goes even faster and it's something that isn't really spoken about. Joshua is now five months old and I can't even bring myself to think about the next update, it makes me a little teary because the newborn days are long gone. I know that sounds silly, he's growing into the most amazing little person and it's about to get a whole lot more fun. We have teeth, he's started trying food and he's been up to some mischief, we have such a character on our hands!

The last four weeks have been a mix of highs, lows and a lot of tests because teething is just hell isn't it?! We have two teeth now, both the bottom front teeth with teeth now cutting either side of those too. I'm praying we get a little break after these but I won't hold my breath. His sleeping was disrupted thanks to this, leap four and the so called four month sleep regression but the last week as seemed like normal again.
We're were still using the Snuzpod but have switched to a travel cot before we move him to his cot for the first time in the next few days as he has started to pull himself up and one morning I caught him with hands either side of his Snuzpod about to really get some height between him and the mattress. I quickly grabbed him out and started researching cots immediately! He's going to be crawling before we know it.
As well as pulling himself up when he is near things, when he lays down he strains his head and neck up as far as he can go to sit up and he now rolls front to back then back to front. It's been an interesting few weeks of not taking our eyes off of him for long. He does look absolutely adorable when he's sat up grinning with his two bottom teeth showing though.
Joshua keeps changing with every new day, he giggles over the most hilarious and sometimes inappropriate things, not that he knows! He's transfixed by Paw Patrol and has taken a liking to a soft cuddly polar bear his Great Grandmother bought him on a Nordic cruise. The Matchstick Monkey is by far our best teething toy, standing up is the best thing in the world and seeing Arran walk in from work brings out the biggest smile. He makes so many different noises, some terrifying, some the funniest thing we've ever heard. It's just fascinating to see him learn so much, so quickly.
We're also coming to the end of another course of Daisy Tinies and we're about to move up to the next class, Daisy Wrigglers. There's not many baby classes that appeal to me but this one was very baby focused, the massage techniques helped with colic and reflux and it made me get out the house so I stuck to it and I'm glad I did.
We made the decision to start weaning a few weeks ago too, we're aware it's recommended from six months but with Joshua's milk allergy and constant interest in what we were eating, we started early. So far he loves carrots but he's really unsure on broccoli and peas. We've gone down the traditional weaning route for the moment but it's a learning curve for all of us so that may change. We're using the Cosatto Noodle Supa highchair and adore it, it's so handy and makes feeding times much easier.
The next few weeks are going to be spent changing everything over as we say goodbye to the Snuzpod and all his small baby clothes as it all goes into the loft. We've just entered leap five and we're seeing such a difference already so the next update should be filled with just as much, although I've probably forgotten loads in this one. I'm blaming the broken sleep.
