The Clarins Everlasting Cushion Foundation

Cushion foundations have fast become the latest beauty discovery from Korea to make its way to the west and some of our favourite brands have launched their own versions in the last year. The latest one I've been trying out is the Clarins Everlasting Cushion Foundation which was released in September and with my changing skin towards the end of my pregnancy, it was the perfect time to try it.

Liquid and powder foundations can feel heavy on skin so the beauty of cushion foundations is that the sponge like cushion means oxygen and moisture are infused in the foundation leaving a more natural and dewy finish to skin. I suffered with dry skin throughout my pregnancy so I discovered this gorgeous new compact from Clarins at the right time. My skin is feeling so much better since I've had the baby but with the cold weather starting to take a hold, I know it's about to turn again so it's the ideal foundation for me.

The high coverage foundation builds beautifully, leaving a dewy glow to skin. The cushion technology provides a glowing, long wearing finish which helps hide imperfections and blemishes while still letting skin breathe. As with the majority of Clarin's foundations, the fluid is infused with skin loving benefits and their anti-pollution complex with an SPF 50 to help protect skin from harmful rays. I find it gives an illuminating finish to my skin while still giving me the higher coverage I prefer with my foundations in the winter. I'm still finding my feet with cushion foundations but I'm really starting to see the benefits.

The Everlasting Cushion Foundation is a refillable compact so the initial gold trim compact retails at £31.00 with the refillable inserts retailing at £23.00. I love the packaging as it's travel friendly making it easy to whip out if you need a touch up with the enclosed applicator. There are only six shades in the range and I'm a different shade in this than to others I've tried so I'd get colour checked at a counter before parting with any money. If you're looking for something that's great for skin but still a higher coverage than definitely look at the Everlasting Cushion Foundation, it may just be your dream compact.
