What's In My Holiday Makeup Bag?

Travelling with only hand luggage and a 10kg limit is hard for most people let alone for a make up hoarder like me. Trying to decide what I was packing in my make up bag proved difficult but after much umming and ahhing, I managed to pack up my essentials...phew. Summer make up to me means healthy, glowing skin plus a statement lip so I tried to pack with that in mind.

My base of choice has been the Seventeen Stay Time foundation for some time now, it gives the most flawless finish and if it can last through a day at work followed by cocktails, I'm hoping it's going to last in high heat. I've also packed my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. For bronzed cheeks I've gone for The Balm's Bahama Mama and Jerome Alexander's Magic Minerals Bronzer which comes with four coordinating matte shades for the face, eyes and lips. It triples up as a bronzer, highlighter and lip colour, you know I love multi-use products. Dew The Hoola is also coming with me as it's so easy to use for adding a glow or used for contour. For cheeks, I've packed Benefit's Posietint cheek stain and my faithful Chubby Highlighter by Clinique and Mary Lou Manizer from The Balm.

For my eyes it's Urban Decay as always. The UD Primer Potion should keep anything from slipping and I'm taking my Naked Basics as it has all the shades I need for either a subtle day or a smoked up evening look. I've been using lashes from Threads recently as they're handmade and have a flexible band making them super comfortable to wear, the feather weight technology also makes them light so it doesn't feel like I'm wearing my Be-Bop lashes, they give a really natural look too.

I'm packing Perversion and Subversion for mascara as used together they give me luscious looking lashes with lift, volume and no smudging or clumping which is exactly what I need when I'm in a hot country. Finally for brows is my Brow Box from the Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani collection, it comes with two powders, a wax plus tweezers and brushes so I'll be ready for any brow emergencies.

Lipsticks are my first true love so I couldn't not pack a few shades to keep me going during those balmy nights sipping cocktails. I always pack Pink Nouveau and So Chaud from MAC Cosmetics if I go away as they look incredible with a tan (here's hoping I tan). I've also just bought one of Smashbox's new lipsticks from the Be Legendary range in a matte formula of course. I have the shade Pinch Me which is a bright coral colour, it'll match my orangey coral nails perfectly.

What are your holiday essentials? Have I gone a bit overboard?
