Urban Decay Naked Smoky

The Urban Decay Naked collection is a thing of beauty and it was only a matter of time until Naked Smoky was welcomed into the Naked family. Smoky was released in 2015, coming in a visually pleasing plastic case, fitting in well with Urban Decay's love of Gunmetal. With a gorgeous array of shimmer, matte and glitter shadows, Smoky includes twelve must have shades with nine of them being brand new. The Naked collection needed spicing up and Smoky well and truly delivered.

Each palette comes with a full size mirror and a double ended brush with one end perfect for smudging and the other for blending. There is also a handy 'Get the Look' book with hints and tips on getting the ultimate smoky eye, something which hasn't been included in previous releases and one I'm very much grateful for because I hold my hands up and admit I'm completely crap at a smoky eye.

When I think of a smoky palette, I think of pearl whites, greys and blacks which make me resemble a panda so the mix of neutrals completely sets it apart from others on the market and I like that. Slanted and Dagger blended with a touch of Radar have been my go to shades as well as Password, a taupe matte and Whiskey, a rich brown matte. As with all Urban Decay shadows, the pigmentation is incredible with each one being soft and easy to blend with little to no fall out depending on the shade, (be careful with Armor). I struggle getting much colour pay off with Thirteen but if I put an Urban Decay primer underneath it's slightly better, eleven out of twelve isn't too bad in my eyes. With warm and cool tones, Smoky is one that will suit many unlike the original two Naked palettes.

I use Urban Decay on my eyes every day whether it's this palette, one of the others in the Naked collection or my Vice 3 because the quality is incredible. As much as there are impressive dupes on the market, they'll never beat the original and Smoky definitely has my heart in its pocket.

What's your favourite palette from the Urban Decay Naked collection?
