Bare Minerals Bare Guide to Color Warm

I've always been pretty dubious when it comes to mineral make up, sure it sounds great but I like a full coverage and I couldn't see how extra dustings of powder could give me that. I thought the best way to ease myself into mineral make up was with the Bare Minerals Bare Guide to Color in Warm kit. I love how you can pick up the try it kits from Bare Minerals before committing to full size products.

Inside the kit is -
  • Prime TimeTM Brightening Eyelid Primer (luminous golden sheen), size 3ml
  • Zany Eyecolour (soft tarnished, olive gold), size 0.57g
  • Round the ClockTM Waterproof Eyeliner in 10 PM (burnished mocha), size 1.2g
  • Exquisite Radiance All-Over Face Colour, size 0.57g
  • Mini Natural Lipgloss in Apricot Nectar, size 2.5ml
  • Double-Ended Precision Eye & Cheek Brush
When this arrived from the fabulous guys over at Treat Your Skin I couldn't wait to (carefully) rip the box open and wait patiently for good lighting to get some photos before I started buffing some colour into my cheeks. I did the make up look using my Estēe Lauder Double Wear, Real Technique brushes and a Rimmel mascara. Everything else was done using the Bare Minerals kit.

Once I had finished my base I used the illuminating primer on my eye lids and the crease before patting on the eye colour. Zany is such a beautiful shade, Olive green then a soft gold depending on the lighting. The fab thing is that it's so buildable and considering it's a loose powder there isn't much fall out once applied. Zany is the perfect shade for blue eyes, it makes my eye colour pop and when used with the eyeliner, 10pm, you have the perfect Autumn eye combo.

To add a little extra colour to my face I used the Double Ended Precision Brush to apply the Exquisite Radiance All-Over Face Colour, leaving my cheeks a flushed pink. With a slick of Apricot Nectar lip gloss I was ready to go. Since using Bare Minerals I am now so intrigued to try more products especially the BareMinerals Get Started Complexion Kit. There are so many fab sets on the Treat Your Skin website to choose from especially with Christmas coming up. I know where I will be writing my wish list from.
