Autumn Berry Lips

Autumn is my favourite time of year, I can finally embrace my love of dark colours, berry lips and layers. While routing through my lipstick collection a few weeks ago I found some old favourites and two new berry toned lippies I haven't stopped wearing so I thought I would share my favourites.

(T-B Diva, La Fascinante, Black Tulip, Private Party, Rebel)

First up is Diva by MAC Cosmetics, an intense burgundy, red in a matte finish. A dark burgundy shade which is smooth on the lips and much creamier to apply compared to its Retro Matte siblings. Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet 38 La Fascinante is my perfect red for the colder months. Velvety soft with a matte finish, it leaves such an intense colour on the lips and it's one I get complimented on every time I wear it. It lasts for hours and rarely needs reapplying as the subtle stain it leaves looks just as good too.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Black Tulip looks almost black in the iconic, gold tube. When applied, Black Tulip leaves a beautiful grape shade on the lips which is slightly magenta in sunlight. Long lasting and moisturising it gives you the perfect Autumn pout. Private Party by MAC Cosmetics is from 2013's Divine Night collection. A cool toned plum in a satin finish, I bought this on a whim and I'm so glad I did. Described as a dirty plum mauve, it's a really interesting shade and one I've never come across before. Private Party is perfect for day time wear if you want a subtle pop of berry colour of your lips.

Lastly, Rebel by MAC Cosmetics is the newest addition. Rebel is a midtone plum and leaves a gorgeous, raspberry pink on the lips. I cannot stop wearing this. It's so easy to apply, lasts for hours and suits so many skin tones. Definitely the ultimate Autumn shade.
