My Decleor Facial at John Lewis Southampton

As some of you may know I've been having a play around with some of the fabulous products from skincare specialists Decleor. I did a Decleor Skincare - Brand Focus post on what I was going to be trying a little while ago and I was very impressed. I will be doing an update on what I've used so far in May as I wanted to get a good feel of the products before I did. Today's post is all about my lovely facial I had done by Aimee at the Decleor counter in John Lewis, Southampton.

Ruby Woo by MAC Cosmetics

Oh Ruby Woo, It's been a long time coming. I have had my eye on this for what feels like forever but there was always another shade I wanted to try. I thought that I had enough red lipsticks. How wrong was I? After seeing a few different photos of some of the gorgeous bloggers I follow wearing Ruby Woo and being told to buy it, I finally did! And it's love. Remind me to stick to the saying "You can never have enough red lipsticks".

Superfruits Exfoliating Mask

I love a good face mask and I'm always on the hunt for one to fit my needs ready for my Sunday Pamper Session so when I was having a look in Superdrug for a few essentials that were technically allowed outside my spending ban I popped this super fruits mask into my basket.

MAC By Request - Pink Poodle

It was day two of my spending ban when I received an email containing my MAC newsletter announcing that MAC By Request had gone live on their website. I sat there for an hour um-ing and ah-ing about what to do when my boyfriend said that I could have one. I will just get it out there that he doesn't control what I spend but he knew I was on a spending ban and was trying to be supportive but as soon as he said "go on then" I was a crazy woman unleashed.

My Every Day Work Face

Everyone has that fail safe make up look to get them through the day and one of mine is what I usually wear on my face to work. I work in a chemist so having a full face of make up isn't that appropriate and I always go for the natural make up look... the one using lots of make up. In the above photo are my products I use to get my fail safe make up look.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser has got a bit of a name for itself and it totally deserves its many, many awards. Read any review of this cleanser and it will be singing it's praises. I have been using this for a little over a month now and have been truly impressed. I don't get that wowed over skincare. As long as it keeps my face soft and moisturised I'm happy. So after reading quite a bit about this one I couldn't wait to try it.

Make Up Expiry Dates

As I was searching through a few of my make up baskets and draws looking for something last week, it got me thinking about how often any of us actually pay attention to the expiry dates on our make up products.Do you know how long you're meant to keep that mascara for? Or that eye shadow palette you've had lurking in your stash for years? I for one am guilty of not paying attention to expiry dates, I use stuff till it runs out or keep a lot to one side just in case I might want to use it in the future.
